Dsquared2 Want Eau de Parfum - the sweet scent of the vanilla bun

Good day to all. Today there will be a review of the fragrance Want from the company Dsquared2 in a concentration of eau de parfum. This is a scent for women that were launched in 2015.

I had a mixed impression of this fragrance because I do not like strong vanilla in perfumes, and this perfume turned out to be very vanilla.

The bottle with the perfume is very beautiful, I liked how the cap was made, in the form of a heavy billiard ball. The liquid in the bottle is peach-colored, due to vanilla in the composition, it will darken over time to a brown tint.

Top: tangerine, ginger and pink pepper;

Heart: Damask rose, heliotrope, neroli;

Base: Madagascar vanilla, vanilla absolute, woodsy notes

As we see, a lot of vanilla is declared in the base notes of the pyramid. In my opinion, it is constantly felt in this scent - from the moment of spraying until the perfume calms down, i.e. not only in base notes.

Want from Dsquared2 is quite variable in terms of perception in different weather and time of year. A couple of months ago, when I first met this fragrance, it was still quite cold. I only it as a strong vanilla scent.

Now it’s summer, it’s already very warm. I generously sprayed the fragrance on myself again and this time managed to catch a fresh note of mandarin at the start. But then the top notes disappeared very quickly, literally in 5-10 minutes and there was only one vanilla scent as from a candy store.

Impressions of fragrance Want Dsquared2

Want Dsquared2 is like an aroma aura; it envelops the body like a soft cloud. The vanilla here is sweet and like in a candy store. When I inhale this smell, I imagine a sweet vanilla bun in front of me. 

You can even say that Want is a vanilla sugar scent with a small addition of other perfume notes. I sniffed alternately a bottle of perfume sample and vanilla sugar - the scents are really similar :)

When applying the fragrance to the skin, such an associative series arises: everything is in brown tones, a warm plaid, the beginning of autumn, a cozy evening with a book, a cup with hot cocoa and a warm vanilla bun on a tray next to it.

Despite the fact that there is a light fresh note of mandarin at the start, the fragrance is not very suitable for use in the summer. Of course, lovers can wear it at any time of the year, but in the winter, in my opinion, this fragrance will work better, warming its owner.

Dsquared2 Want perfume is soft, warm, like a light plaid, it feels like you are wrapped in a soft blanket.

This perfume is long-lasting, sits close to the body, has soft sillage, creates a small fragrant cocoon. I think you can only feel this fragrance on someone if you come close to the owner.

Due to the plenty of sprays of this perfume, the head may ache a little. I feel it very well on myself, probably because I don’t like very vanilla fragrances. I won’t buy a big bottle. My husband said the scent is not wow, but pleasant.

Want from Dsquared2 is suitable for women of any age, but the fragrance is far from all-purpose. 

Not suitable for a gift, since not everyone loves sweet vanilla fragrances and should not be bought without a test. Better not to use in hot weather
